In Seoul, there are several photogenic royal palaces. They are rendered even more interesting by the fact that locals, or indeed tourists, wearing traditional Korean dress (hanbok) are allowed free entry. You don’t even need to own the clothing as there are multiple locations where hanbok costumes are available for rent. Rentals are available for ladies and men and it is even possible to rent handbags and head dress. The result is an explosion of colour and a surfeit of choice for photographers. Of course, the hanbok dressed locals are there for photos too, so selfie sticks and smart phones are never far away.
